Gardens anyone?
With spring coming around a little later than usual for our area, we have finally gotten out and began to put some gardens in the yard. Mark has been doing the digging for since my encounter with the long black creature. Mark has also expanded his garden from last year, which is good for us since we have a couple of extra folks living in the house with one more to come. It will be nice to have some FRESH produce from our garden.
Bon Fire Embers
Mark, Adam and Amy made a bon fire on Saturday and was able to reduce some of the piles of items that we had accumulated over the past several weeks. They had fun just being able to relax after a full day of work for Mark and Adam and Amy with being with folks from their church on an overnight camp out. These were pictures that I took at approximately midnight. The fire was still good and hot and I was not sure that my camera would take these shots, but they look good. Have a great day everyone.

SOMETHING I DO NOT DO!!!!!
I decided that maybe I should try to help Mark with the yard work. I am digging up a couple of garden beds and planting flowers, shrubs and what nots. One WHAT NOT THAT I AM NOT taking care of is SNAKES!!! This critter went across the top of my bare foot and I jumped at least 2 feet in the air, if not more and screamed like nobody has ever heard me scream. Thank goodness Precious, the resident cat, was on hand. She attacked the snake, after the snake was trying to strike at Precious. Precious got the snake pretty good and I thought it was dead. I did not go out and test to see if it was going to move. I just stayed on our back porch and took pictures. I knew that Mark would think i was CRAZY if I told him about my snake crossing, so I took picture to prove I was not too terribly looney. I have informed Mark that my gardening days are DONE and that he can have his entire yard back. If this is the thanks I get about getting out there and helping him out, I want no part of it. No thank you. Not today, Not tomorrow, NOT NEVER!!!! The snake was excorted back down to the pond area by our resident Precious. Thank goodness for Precious.

Mark's NEWEST TOY
Mark is in HEAVEN right now. He got a new toy and is loving it totally. He has a riding lawn mower. He cut the grass this morning in the front and the back in the time that it would have taken 4 days to do with the push mower. He was singing "Green Acre's" while he was riding his newest toy. I am happy for him that he was able to locate one that we could afford. It is used, but it is NEW for Mark. Adam got out his weed eater and did the culvert area that the lawn mowers won't get to. So it is a family affair at the moment.

Easter
Today is Easter. This is a day reflect on what the Savior has done for us, so that we may return to live with Him once more. I am glad that we live in a country that we can do just that. Time to reflect on our freedom and to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all of our different military branches that we have, so that we can worship the way that we can.
Mark's Easter present continues on for this entire year. Care to guess what the Easter Bunny brought him? Mark had stated that he had not gone out to get any Easter Candy for himself and I just told him to remember that he had to believe in the Easter Bunny and he might just get what he wanted for Easter. 78 Cadbury Creme Eggs. He loves these things and they only come out one time a year.
So between his year long present and special little treats he gets, Mark had a great Easter.
I had to work, but he was off and he enjoyed himself just being able to RELAX and not have a "Honey Do List" meeting him in the eye this weekend.

I love my laundry room
OK, with the laundry room about 90% completed, we found this sign and we could not hang this up until we were able to get a door. Not just an ordinary door, NO, we needed a 36 inch door and Mark wanted to make sure that it was a 6 panel door. To me I had no clue as to what a 36 inch door was or even what a 6 panel door was. Just put up a door is all that I was asking. There are just a couple more things to be done in this room and we will have one room totally completed in our house. By this fall that room will be done, right Mark?
They are growing up!!
I got to spend about 36 hours with Chrissy and Tara and the 3 young sprouts that are growing up! I cannot get over how big they are getting. I got to spend time with Autumn and Jacob and now I got to see Bethannie, James Jr. and Mackenzie. How fast all of them are growing up. It is hard for me to believe that all 5 of these young people have grown up so much. These pictures are of my trip to VA in April, 2009. The entire family attended a military spouse affair and let me tell you that these three young people were VERY, VERY, VERY GOOD. They got a treat to McDonald's after we were finished with this event and then went to the fabric store to begin a HUGE project for "IT IS GREAT TO BE EIGHT" for 2 very special young ladies in 2 families. HUM, I wonder who those two young ladies could be. Any suggestions?
